Learning How to Google Meet
Today we learned a little bit about Google meet and how to use it as a class.
When we want to talk to the teacher in Google Meet we need to put our hand up (just like in real life) and turn off the volume so we are not all talking at once.
We all jumped on the meet together and showed our best smiles and Mr Carroll took a picture of us (you can see it in the slides above and we all agree that we look amazing).
What’s for Lunch?
Today in Cybersmart we practiced using Google Docs.
We wrote about what we had for lunch. We typed up our own sentences using the words from a shared word bank presentation.
Using Google Presentations
In our Cybersmart lessons we have been learning to be more confident using Google Presentations.
We learned to:
- Use the Explore Tool
- Insert Images
- Resize Images
- Create and use text boxes
Setting up our Bookmarks
Today we set up bookmarks on our Chromebooks. It was so great, because now we can teleport to the places we need on our chromebook. Have you got bookmarks set up on yours?
The Kawa of Care
Today in Room 4 we learned about the Manaiakalani Kawa of Care.
The Kawa of Care helps us to look after and use our Chromebooks properly.
We learned how to hold our device with 2 hands, how to carry it in a hug hold, and how to half close when the teacher is talking.
We also talked about how to look after them at our desks, and around food.
We can’t wait to get our Chromebooks.
